In December, the Grade Two class will have our annual Polar Express Celebration. The date will be Wednesday, December 16th.
We get to wear our pajamas to school all day on Tuesday just like the
little boy in the story. The children can also wear their bathrobes and
slippers as long as they have outdoor shoes and jackets for recess and
lunch time.
You
are all welcome to join us. We will need a few volunteers to help make
the hot chocolate and organize the goodies while I am reading the story.
We would also appreciate it if anyone could contribute one item
to our celebration. We need hot chocolate, marshmallows, whipping cream, candy canes, cups, paper
plates and other goodies. We will have a sign up sheet just below. Please email me and I will update it so we will know what we still need. Thank you.
We will start shortly after 1:00 with a reading of the book and then
we will have the hot chocolate and goodies. About 2:15 we will watch a
"secret" video that I know the children will love and the theme is very
similar to the magic of the Polar Express.
